To promote pharmaceutical manufacturing in Ghana, by creating a favourable economic, regulatory and political environment, that enables the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to meet the growing healthcare needs and expectations of the nation in particular and the international community in general.
To establish a modern and sustainable pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Ghana, which enables people to have equal and early access to the best and safest medicines, which are manufactured locally, ensures the highest security of the medicines supply chain and also contributes significantly to economic growth.
1. To join forces with key stakeholders to create an enabling environment for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to develop and meet the requirements of WHO prequalification.
2. To work towards the speeding up of regulatory processes for new medicines and ensure that regulation of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry does not become another hurdle to market access.
3. To strengthen the integrity and transparency of the pharmaceutical supply chain, by raising public awareness on the risk of counterfeits and increasing the traceability of pharmaceutical products.
4. To build a pharmaceutical industry that will create more and better jobs, and therefore guarantee high living standards for current and future generations of Ghanaian citizens.
5. To work together with other regional and continental bodies toward the attainment of a common pharmaceutical market for West Africa and Africa.
